Overview

The Sales Manager I position is a key member of the SelectQuote Auto and Home management team. Based in our Denver office, this position will build and manage a 12 person sales team capable of exceeding the companies’ sales revenue goals and objectives while ensuring high customer satisfaction and compliance with all company policies and procedures. Reporting to our Sr. Sales Manager, this is a great opportunity for a high-energy, hands-on sales leader with 1+ years of internal sales experience or 2+ years of related management experience in a fast-paced organization who can drive consistent results and have a real impact on the growth and strategy of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of ~12; the team as a whole is charged with meeting the companies’ sales revenue goals and objectives.
  • Daily sales coaching based on call monitoring focused on maximizing sales efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and enforce processes to track and improve the performance of team members based on call volume, quote volume, appropriate rate presentation, close rate and more.  Work closely with Sr. Sales Manager to ensure overall team success in relation to defined metrics.
  • Develop and encourage team building and employee career development through coaching, mentoring and leadership.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve sales processes, drive accountability and raise the standard of team performance to increase revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep current with all SelectQuote product information, pricing, terminology and systems use.

Qualifications

  • If external candidate: experience and documented previous success in managing related inside sales teams to over-quota performance
  • Proven success in a quota-bearing sales role.
  • Experience with forecasting and managing sales team’s pipeline and funnel with related reporting and analysis.
  • Motivated by individual and team achievement, proven ability to drive the team environment and contribute to team’s success at all levels.    
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.    
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic.

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required.
  • External Candidates: minimum 5 years sales experience, 2 years management experience. 
  • Internal Candidates: minimum 1 year SQAH sales experience.
  • Experience selling Personal Lines insurance a plus.
