Overview

The Commissions Analyst is part of a top-tier finance, accounting and analytics team. This individual should have high intensity and integrity, intellectual curiosity, demonstrated leadership abilities and a passion for excellence. The Commissions Analyst will have significant financial and accounting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the commission reconciliation duties for the division
  • Research and resolve commission issues with the carriers
  • Become intimately familiar with the commission structure for the firm
  • Assist in the data management and integrity of the division
  • Generate monthly Cash reconciliation reports for the corporate office
  • Resolve all policy level commission issues where data doesn’t match those of the carriers
  • Maintain carrier specific trial balances
  • Support finance team’s analysis for strategic initiatives
  • Assist in preparing monthly accrual-based financial statements accurately and timely
  • Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested
  • Support the development of the firms’ proprietary revenue tracking system
  • Day-to-day interaction with CEO/CFO-level executives
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by superiors

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Research accounts payable and accounts receivable issues as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by superiors

Qualifications

  • Strong desire to learn and gain valuable experience in accounting, finance and cost analysis.

Training and Experience

  • Strong academic record – Bachelors in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting, finance or business analysis related positions
