Overview

SelectQuote Life is looking for a Senior Operations Analyst to join our team in Overland Park, KS. The Senior Operations Analyst is a key member of the operations team by supporting process and analytics based decisions and project implementation. You will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, develop and communicate recommendations, and manage the implementation of your recommendations and ideas while working closely with managers and team-members.

 

This position offers a unique opportunity with exposure to all departments within the Life business and exposure to senior business leaders including the C-Suite. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, a demonstrated drive for personal success, strong communication skills, and the functional aptitude to learn new responsibilities with proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, quantitative analysis work associated with developing meaningful insights to address the Life divisions biggest challenges
  • Responsible for research, gathering, and analyzing data
  • Interview stakeholders and participants in specific business processes to understand workflow
  • Participate and lead in setting project objectives and scope with upper level management
  • Structuring and solving problems from beginning to end
  • Developing conclusions and recommendations
  • Produce and present clear presentations for senior management regarding projects and tasks
  • Implement process change and effectively monitor and measure results
  • Lead cross-functional teams focused on specific work streams of large projects
  • Identify workflow/system improvements and present solutions
  • Provide analytical support for best business practices across all company departments (Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Comfort with heavy senior leadership contact and building relationships with division leaders
  • Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • High level of self-motivation; ability to operate and accomplish goals independently and within a team oriented environment
  • Strong oral and written skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Detail oriented aptitude

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstration of consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performed above expectations in professional roles
  • Experience in consulting, lean operations management, M&A or corporate strategy a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL a plus

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate track record
  • Minimum of 4+ years of professional experience within operations, manufacturing, or finance

Travel Requirements:

  • Ad-Hoc travel for specific projects at regional locations (San Francisco, Denver, Jacksonville)
