  • Overview

    The Manager, Creative Services position is responsible for managing the concepting, design and production of all creative projects, both digital and traditional, for multiple business units.  This position will entail both hands on design conceptualization and execution of TV and radio production, website design, email, direct mail and other digital and print campaigns as well as managing both internal and external partnerships.  The Manager, Creative Services will ensure all creative deliverables are produced to specification, all assigned timelines and deadlines are met and all projects fall within the SelectQuote brand guidelines and quality expectations. 

    The Manager, Creative Services will work with internal team members to develop and refine ideas and must have strong verbal and visual communications skills. The Manager should be able to listen closely to team members and create materials that reflect communication objectives and be flexible enough to accommodate design changes.  This position will require the ability to think not only from a design perspective but also understand the overall objectives for each project and execute in a way that provides the ideal user experience to achieve those objectives. 


    • Conceptualize, design and deliver end-to-end results-driven, innovative and effective consumer and institutional creative for TV, radio, print, online and other channels as needed.
    • Develops and maintains SelectQuote Brand standards and oversees development of new materials in accordance with guidelines
    • Delivers high-quality, production ready marketing material for both internal and external collateral, while meeting all business communication requirements.
    • Manage external design resources/partnerships to execute and oversee multiple design and development projects simultaneously.
    • Provide quality control on all completed projects to ensure design quality, production accuracy
    • Partner with development to raise quality of user experience and interactions with websites and more SelectQuote brand forward
    • Actively participates in marketing meetings and supports the department in the development and implementation of materials to meet market demand
    • Creates and maintains production templates, documentation, and best practices while archiving completed projects and maintaining server and file archives.


    • Advanced knowledge of design/production tools like Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign, sketch and experience in html design
    • Proven experience in Brand strategy development and proven copywriting experience for direct response advertising
    • Strong artistic and proven graphic design abilities and knowledge of design/color theories, techniques, typography and TV production are required.
    • Knowledge and practical user experience design and proven experience in core best practices
    • Strong ability to partner cross-functionally and proven experience excelling in a matrix-managed environment
    • Ability to recognize overall project objectives and execute design/communication in a way that satisfies the ideal user experience to meet those project objectives.
    • Understanding and prior management of design against brand marketing guidelines and best practices
    • Experience working with and preparing electronic files for commercial printing
    • Attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy/quality and a critical eye for design aesthetics.
    • Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrix-managed team environment.
    • Self-driven with a high work-standard and an ability to innovate and think critically.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills and an ability to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a fast paced team environment.
    • Knowledge of both Macintosh and PC platforms and an ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues.

    Training and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or a related subject, or the equivalent work-related experience.
    • 5-8+ years of professional graphic design experience in an agency setting or in-house creative/marketing department developing web and print materials.
    • 3-5+ years of professional experience in video production for commercial consumption, namely television and digital/social
    • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and other applicable design applications.
    • Advanced knowledge of design aesthetics and production requirements for print and digital media channels, and a solid understanding of brand marketing and user-centered best practices.
    • 3-5+ years of digital design preferred.
